Delay in acceleration after a stop or after a slow speed

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Is your vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission? If so, there could be an issue with the vehicle transmission shifting or downshifting into the first gear so that it can accelerate as needed. If not, and alternatively, even if equipped with automatic transmission – there could be an engine performance issue, such as a fuel and air mixture variance that causes engine performance issues. Are there any diagnostic trouble codes in the engines processor?
