my nissan frontier is making a clickng noise when backing up

Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this concern on your Nissan Frontier. A clicking noise when backing up can be caused by several different components. Some of these are something like a driveline concern or joint concern within a driveline or axle, an internal transmission concern, a differential concern, or even a problem with one of the brake or wheel components among others. The best thing to do in this situation is to have the vehicle checked over fully, ask a technician to drive it to duplicate the noise so he/she can hear it to then be able to properly identify which component is causing the issue so it can then be repaired properly from there. If you’d like to find a trusted, certified repair shop in your area, you can check here: https://repairpal.com/certified.
