Hello, I can read this two ways... When the engine is running, the A/C compressor can run, but when you turn off the engine, the A/C compressor stops too, so no A/C. When you are driving, air is cooling the condenser, and when you stop, the fan should cool the condenser. If the fan is not running, or the condenser/radiator are clogged to air flow, you will get these symptoms. Check the fans to see if they are turning with the A/C on, vehicle running in park. Check fuse and relay for fan (if ithe relay is not part of a control module).
I had the same problem. I found out that I had a leak in the compressor.
Hi I’m having the same problem but I changed my relay and I can hear the fan kick on and everything was ok but the next day it went back to blowing hot air i believe the relay keeps getting blown what else could it be I was thinking the fan? I’m not sure what to do.
