What is your question?
Just replaced the ignition coil & spark plugs in my 2012 Nissan Altima. Worked fine for about 2 weeks then started hesitating and dying out again. I do have an oil cooler leak which I'm fixing to get fixed but would that cause my ignition coil to go bad? I'm wondering if the oil could possibly be leaking on the ignition coil?
How long has your 2012 Nissan Altima had this problem?
A few weeks. Had coil & spark plugs replaced. Now doing the same thing

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. If the oil cooler leak allowed oil to get onto any wiring or coil components, then yes - it could contribute to this failure. Oil degrades rubber and sometimes wiring insulation also. Oil can disrupt electrical components. It's all a guess and theory - but to answer your question, yes it is possible. However, coils and their related circuits can experience failures for other reasons as well. Any way you look at it, resolving the oil leak is a good idea -- besides fixing what you are experiencing now with the vehicle. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
