What is your question?
I have a 2011 Nissan Altima 2.5s Sedan 4c that has been throwing a code stating there is an issue with the mass air flow sensor. Got it replaced , and are still having issues. It doesn't always happen, but when it does, the service engine light stays on my dash i was told i have an exhaust problem then told it was my rear catalytic converter (not sure if that’s the same thing) but yea. and then the traction control light will turn on, and you can hear the engine doing a type of low revving sound in park like it wasn’t to cut off but catches itself (it cut off twice before it never really goes it sound like that 24/7 tho )When I start to accelerate, once it hits 2500 pm it loses power and starts to jerk.Is this transmission problems? is it a big fix ? should i sell it ? I only had the car for a month i brought it through an auction dealer . PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME FIGURED OUT WHAT THIS PROBLEM IS . How to stop the jerks permanently and clear the engine light
How long has your 2011 Nissan Altima had this problem?
a month

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. Based on these symptoms, there could be a few different things going on with your Atima. First, a clogged catalytic converter could cause the car to exhibit significant power loss. Since you have a check engine light illuminated, the vehicle could be in "limp mode," which limits engine RPM to prevent further damage. Since the car also seems to jerk along with the power loss, there may also be an issue with the transmission. I'd recommend taking the car to a trusted mechanic for a complete diagnostic to determine if it's primarily an engine, exhaust, or transmission issue before considering selling it. These repairs can be costly, but a proper diagnosis is critical. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
