Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! The door locks clicking open and close on their own can be quite frustrating, especially after your car has been sitting for a while. This behavior can be linked to a few things. Sometimes, it could be due to a faulty door lock actuator or an issue with the wiring that's causing a short or malfunction. Given that you've already replaced the battery in the key fob, it might be worthwhile to check if there's any corrosion or damage in the car's wiring, especially since it has been sitting idle for a year. Another possibility is that the key fob itself or its programming might have developed a glitch. I'd recommend having a professional take a look at the car’s electrical system. They can test the door lock circuits and the key fob signal to pinpoint the exact cause. Feel free to reach out if you need further advice or assistance. I'm here to help 877-913-1554!
