What would cause the car to kick out of cruise control while going up an incline

What is your question?

I have a 2007 Altima sometimes when driving with cruise contronl on as i start up a long incline where the car should speed up or down shift to keep up, if the car gets over 3000 RPM for longer than say 5-10 seconds it will kick out of cruise control.
