No there was no smell or anything like that its just that I had a check engine light and when the code scanner was connected it read P0037 bank 1 sensor 2 heater circuit low so I had the lower 02 sensor replaced drove it for a while and the light came back on and has been on ever since
Now I was able to pass NYS inspection by clearing the codes before I started the car drove it on the highway for over 20 miles or so disconnected the scanner reconnected it only to have the code come back. But all my IM monitors were set there was no check engine light and in NYS you could have at least one I'm monitor not set and it will pass inspection
How ever I didn't shut the car off when I got to my mechanic I left it on and he connected it to the inspection machine and I finally got my inspection
