What is your question?
Some mornings especially cold mornings and put the car in reverse to back out of drive way its fine but when I put it in drive it sometimes don't shift. After a while and the engine runs awhile it shifts into drive no problem
How long has your 2005 Nissan Altima had this problem?
6 months

Hello, The first thing is to check your fluid level, then, look through your maintenance records to see if it has ever been serviced. Many transmissions have been neglected until there is a problem. If the fluid level is full when the engine is running and the transmission is warm, I recommend having the transmission control module scanned to determine what actions it is taking in response to moving the shift to drive. Another thing, what if you shift it to any other forward range (L, 2, 1) depending on which selections you have?
