My car loses power up hills and when trying to accelerate fast on highway when tryn to pass another vehicle. My car dies before my gas light comes on. But if I Pull over and turn my car off for about 5 minutes each time it does that it starts right back up and drives again. Also when I get in higher speed of 50 or more it's starting to make a winding noise
What makes this problem better or worse?
Better when I pull over and shut car off for about 5 mins.

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. First - the loss of power concern - sounds like something the engine's computer is measuring to learn about proper air - fuel - spark mixture is not accurate or is failing. This will require testing to find out what is happening, assessing if there are any diagnostic trouble codes set for analysis and seeing what is happening when the problem starts occurring. You'll need some professional guidance for this. The winding noise - could be tire noise, could be a wheel bearing noise, could be a transmission or differential noise. Hands on - ears on testing is needed - use that same technician to road test and hear that noise so a first hand opinion can be made. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
