it may have damaged the head gasket from overheating. you need a shop to verify the this with a leak down test on the cylinders. a flow test of the rad is important too. common failure. Roy
After our Altima overheated, I took off the non-leaking Waterpump to find the Impellers mostly gone on the waterpump shaft. I suspect a bad (good looking) waterpump.
Hi everyone, i had this same problem for months and worried whats the problem is made some diagnostic tests from amco thought that is transmission problem guess what its not transmission. so started with minor repairs like coolant sensor, water pump and even changed thermostats luckily one of my close friend did the repair work for me even though it costed me $300. so i went to nissan dealer for diagnose the problem so they said i have a leakage in my head gasket and hey quoted me for $2323.38 F*** dollars just to repair and replace the parts, i was not shocked bcz we know what dealer quotes looks like. So here are my suggestions for people having this same issue. 1st step take the car to the dealer and make a diagnosis it may cost but we can save time and can know exactly whats the problem is. because i have went to so many mechanics to check whats the problem is and spent lot of money on fuel, wasted time and money. 2nd once you find the problem check with some of the mechanic that you can count on and repair it. 3rd if you want to try before taking the car to diagnosis you can buy the head gasket fix liquid that available in car parts store. i haven't tried but if you want to its up to you guys here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ak0xJEiAz3I hope this helps have a great day :)
