When you say "heats up" -- you are not meaning overheating, correct? When your engine is at normal operating temperature, your engine's computer is reading information provided by various components and sensors and is adjusting fuel, air and spark mixtures based on this information. As a result, anything that is not accurately reporting information can influence a stall. Testing is the only thing that will lead you to find the cause of the problem. Test equipment that is able to monitor the vehicle components that could cause your concern is needed, as well as someone experienced in testing the vehicle. Diagnosis via replacement of parts is not a good idea.
