Brake lights (rear, not dash) stay on even when car is not running

What is your question?

I changed the stop light switch and rubber grommet and it is still on. There is clicking sound coming from the center console when I press down on the new switch.

Are you sure the adjustment is correct on the stoplight switch as it shouldn't touch the button when the brake pedal is in the up position, Then when you step on the pedal it will push the button on the stoplight switch
