Sometimes it starts other time it wont it doesnt make a clicking sound whe i turn the key

Any dash and instrumentation lights illuminating when you turn the key on, when the problem is actively occurring? If you do have dash lights and a known good battery that is able to sustain a load and is of full charge, and all cables are attached securely and without corrosion, you could have an issue with the transmission lever position sensor. If the vehicle is not seeing the shift lever in "Park" or "Neutral" gear, it will not allow the starter motor to engage. Perhaps move the shift lever around when then problem occurs to see if that helps?
