charge the battery with a battery charger. with a full charge on the battery,checking at the battery terminals with a volt meter with the engine off,what are the readings in DC Volts? then start the engine,now what are the readings at the battery terminals? any warning lights on? car hard to steer? radio/lights acting crazy?
