What is your question?
Periodically my car won't go into second gear. It's like it's stuck and won't accelerate (it revs up but doesn't accelerate or shift to second). I have to pull over, put it in park and then it works. I've had my transmission fluid looked at and they said it was the perfect color and not burnt at all.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Seems to happen when cold.
How long has your 1992 Nissan 240SX had this problem?
6-8 months.

Hello, There are a couple of issues that can cause the transmission not to shift, and, as with most automatic transmission issues, having it diagnosed will save a lot of time and headache. It could be an electrical issue, pressure control valve, solenoid, etc, so I will spare you the speculation. Most transmission shops will have a fair diagnostic fee. They will have seen this transmission 100 times, and will likely know the issue after driving it.
