What is your question?
My fiance has a 07 raider that her mother gave her that has been wrecked and driven hard for years. It still runs and drives fine without any real big issues. However it has this starting problem I can't seem too figure out. Autozone code reader came back with a u1110 code which is A/c timeout and u1120 which is lost wheel speed now I really want to be able to fix this easily and within reason for cost. My girl doesn't want to take it to a shop or let me try because it used to be her dad's so its very sentimental to her. However she recently has been making plans with this dope head guy friend of hers that says he can fix it cause hes worked on cars most his life. Hiss answer to fix the a/c blower was to bypass the wiring and hook it direct to the battery with a switch inside the cab. Now i have an eclectical science degree and spent 6 years doing avionics so I'm not an amature when it comes to electrical issues. My question is can bad speed sensors be causing this no start issue?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Have to is a jumper to start vehicle. Won't start in it's own.
How long has your 2007 Mitsubishi Raider had this problem?
Months

Restore the vehicle back to original condition and eliminate ridiculous "bypasses" of wiring with switches. Your "U" codes are not indicating cause of starting problems. Speed sensors will not cause a no start issue. Hands on proper testing by skilled, experienced personnel that have equipment on hand to find out what is going on is essential. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
Is it possible the abs system could have a short somewhere causing the no start. It'll partially crank but it sounds like its not getting enough power.
No. If you're not getting enough power to crank the engine, focus on battery power, state of charge, the ability to sustain a load, connections, cables, and starter draw.
Alright thank you. As of right now even with the battery full and it stays full it never lowers. Alternator charges ot back up just fine. But even with a full battery it will only start if jumped. It only did this now and then a few months ago. Now ots Every time we try to start it. Sometimes it'll crank over and start but its rare now. Hook it up to a jump box or another car boom starts immediately without any struggle like there's nothing wrong. But she's content in having this guy friend of hers work on it so imma let him mess it up
If it starts with a jump, is definitely a battery and or connection issue. At the very least. You are not testing your battery properly. You need specialized equipment to test the battery. And alternator for that matter. Not only voltage, but amperage output and the ability to sustain a load.
Yes I know, the problem is my advice I give my girl is disregarded she don't trust my electrical experience. Understandable she hasn't ever seen me actually do anything complicated with electrical stuff. So when Intel her she needs to have it tested properly at a shop she don't listen. It's ok like i said imma let her take it to her friend. Let him fuck it up and let her learn the hard way.
