Why wont my trck start i changed the alternator and fully charged the battery and all the lights and sounds come on but the truck wont make a sound at all when i turn the ignition on?

I have 2 keys, one for unlocking the truck and the other one to run the truck before it wouldnt turn on if you trued to put the wrong key in to the ignition it woyld turn on but not for long it would turn back off but one day somehow my girlfriend got it to stay on and run with the wromg key in (she disnt know it was the wrong one) and it ran for like a week and then just died completely
