What is your question?
2018 Mitsubishi outlander ES. Bought this car used and the driver tail light and neither brake lights work. Figured it just needed bulbs but since they are LED i ordered and equipped both new tail lights. Same issue. Went through replacing fuses and relays that had anything to do with lighting and still same issue. Read online that the tag lights or glove box light may be the issue so replaced those. Glove box light now works but neither tag lights work still. The blinkers on both sides work and they are in the same tail light assembly but different connectors. When you first turn your lights on, the drivers tail light flashes but only for like 1/10th of a second. Had to test it multiple times to be sure I even saw it.
How long has your 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander had this problem?
More than a week

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! You've done some serious detective work here and that brief 1/10th of a second flash on the driver's tail light is actually a really important clue. That tells us power is getting there momentarily but something is cutting it off almost instantly. At this point with new LED assemblies, fuses, and relays all ruled out, the finger is pointing toward either a faulty Body Control Module that's not sending a sustained signal to those circuits, or a wiring issue like a bad ground or damaged harness somewhere between the BCM and the tail lights. The fact that blinkers work through the same assembly but on different connectors confirms the assemblies themselves are fine. This one has graduated beyond parts swapping and really needs someone with a wiring diagram and a multimeter to trace the circuit. Visit RepairPal.com to find a trusted shop in your area!
