What is your question?
Just changed my plugs. The # 4 plug was covered in oil. # 2 had a little on it and 1 & 3 were clean. When I restarted the car, it produced a good amount of blue-white smoke, but the engine ran much smoother then before. By the time I driven a mile or so the smoke was gone and hasn't returned. Why would the #4 plug be covered in oil?

valve cover gasket leaked oil into the tubes.when you removed the plug, the oil went into the cylinder. thats why it smoked and went away. Roy
There are spark plug seals made of rubber inside the valve cover, they dry out and leak a small amount of oil onto the plug, then down on the engine and burns off,the car running better than before was probably unrelated to the seals, the plugs would make the engine run better !Hope this helps ,i am a mechanic of 35 years!
I have oil leaking into my spark plugs can I drive for a while like that?
Makes sense. Thank you. I'll add it to my 2do list. I'm adding another question for this car, if you're interested.
