Dashboard lights

What is your question?

I replaced all the light bulbs in my instrument panel and i replaced the combination switch for the turn signal. Then some of the dashboard lights come on that were out before i replace the latter parts. However when i turn on the dashboard lighs nothing happens. Now this is were it gets strange, when i set my alarm on and off the whole dashboard light up like a christmas tree, but not when i use the switch .. i check the dimmer switch and it works fine.... i need help????
