What is your question?
A new short block was installed, but the job was very amateur. For example, RTV was use to stop (temporarily) a head gasket leak. The engine leaks oil and transmission fluid, particularly when the vehicle has been recently driven. While this is an old vehicle with high mileage (200,000), I'm wondering what it would take to fix this vehicle up enough to function as reliable transportation for 3 or 4 years. I know that shops are reluctant to fix problems created by someone else, but I'm wondering whether a few thousand dollars could get it going, or whether I should cut my losses and buy another vehicle.
