Why do my 02 lancer Ls start off hot. When i start it

Hello, it could be a gauge issue instead of a vehicle issue. Testing the gauge for proper operation using test equipment is required. If the engine has not run and is not at operating temperature, then the temperature gauge being in the "hot zone" is obviously erroneous.
