Why is my ac not cooling but heating?

Hello, if your air conditioning is not blowing cold, it could be due to a few different scenarios. First, your entire system may be low or out of refrigerant. If this happens, the system cannot create the cold air that the fan blows. The system would need to be checked for leaks, repaired, and refilled. Second, you could have an electrical concern under the hood with the system operation. This could mean there is ample refrigerant, but no way of turning the compressor on under the hood, meaning the refrigerant is not processed and circulated. Third, you could have a climate control system problem inside the vehicle. The controls that select hot verses cold could be malfunctioning. The system will need checked over to see what scenario needs checked out further.
