Window refuses to roll down but rolled up promptly

My 2003 galant’s front passenger window motor had been dead for years and I ordered a new motor and regulator. When I installed it and powered up the car, the window rolled all the way up without any switches being pressed, and then it refused to roll down. I can hear a small sound when I press up or down on the switch but nothing happens. I had a spare switch module for that door but the same thing happened. I was planning on troubleshooting by plugging the new motor into another doors power harness but not sure what’s else to do. Could the driver side master switch be jammed? Thank you in advance
