broken trunk lock

Sounds like the Latch assembly needs to be replaced, of course i would always recommend having a technician diagnose the failure first. It should be a fairley minor repair. You might be surprised if you give your local Mitsubishi dealership a chance to earn your business.

it happend to me, when u open the trunk the top part needs to be changed. Its cheap to get done. hope this helps:)
