the code will not turn the airbag off, it is a diagnostic code that will indicate what's wrong with the airbag system. once you fix what's wrong and clear that code, the light will go off. NOTE: WHEN THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED, IT IS LIKELY THAT THE AIRBAG WILL NOT FUNCTION IN A FRONTAL ACCIDENT.
