My key will not come out of acc, i was told it is the park sensor where is the park sensor on my suv

It has been like that for about a month now, I only have one key to that car and it's stuck in the ignition in ACC. It will turn over and crank well it was turning over and cranking until my battery died because I could not get it out of ACC into lock to get the key out. I was told by a mechanic that the part sensor is the reason why. Can you please help me
