Soft top convertible on my eclipse Spyder GT the sensor light

My sensor light will not quit blinking or beeping in reverse or until I'm out of first gear I did manually have to pull the top up but then hit the button and it did close well I l locked it but the rear stripping by the back window seems to be hanging kind of like a sagging headliner so I tried to repair it and tuck it back in but still got it to close but can't get the noise or the light to remain off
