car died while driving oil and battery light came on before it died no lights on prior,opened hood cap was off oil,now car cranks but wont start?
What makes this problem better or worse?
tried to jump wont start

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. First, can you check the oil level and make sure there is enough engine oil present? Next, check for fuel delivery, ignition spark and proper air to the intake manifold. With all of that present in the correct amounts, the engine should start. Keep in mind that if the engine is cranking over, the battery will not need a jump.
