Hi Tina, No. No correlation whatsoever. The belt and mount are both pretty cheap and fast fixes, and driving without power steering will give you some good exercise. However, the longer you drive on a bad motor mount, the greater the probability of the other engine/transmission mounts failing grows exponentially.
