changed the fuel pump module awhile back, thought that was the issue . the check engine light stayed off for a few days then came back on. ever sense then my fuel gauge hasn't been reading the same.just the amount of power that the fuel pump module needs to read. My car is a 03 Mitsubishi eclipes gts

if you're still driving the car,then the fuel pump is working. if the fuel gauge is not reading the correct amount of fuel in the tank,then either the sender/float/switch got damaged when installing the module or if not a good quality module,the sender may have just failed,or you have a bad fuel gauge. What is the code for the check engine light and where does it show you the amount of power the fuel pump module reads and what is it showing you?
