Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Your Eclipse has all the makings of a fuel delivery issue. Since it only runs on starter fluid, your fuel system likely isn’t delivering fuel properly. Replacing the fuel pump was a good move, but did you check the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator? A clogged filter or a faulty regulator could restrict fuel flow. Also, the injectors might not be firing—bad wiring or a relay can stop them from working. If it’s cold-related, there could be moisture in the fuel line or even a failing mass airflow (MAF) sensor that’s misreading air-fuel mix. It’s worth testing the fuel pressure to make sure it’s within spec. If not, you’re still hunting for the culprit in the fuel system. If it is, the issue might lean more electrical.
