What is your question?
My 2001 Eclipse GT has 117k miles, needs a ton of maintenance work including timing belt. Is it cheaper for me to get all that done or trade in for newer car? Had my car since 2004. Thank you Delilah P.S. Also a 2500 title loan left to pay if we agree before finalizing our bankruptcy. Just need to know if investing in our eclipse would get us another 100k miles?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Haven't replaced timing belt
How long has your 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse had this problem?
About 5 years

Very hard to say without knowing what's wrong with the car and the condition of the body and interior. Generally speaking keeping up a good used car is far cheaper than buying a new car. You have depreciation, interest if you finance and then you still have repairs. If you just want a new car for reliability and for something new that's different but don't think you will save money buying a new car. Maybe a newer but used car is a good idea if your car needs a ton of work and is in rough shape. Alex
