What will make my car while driving all of a sudden stopped and the neutral light keeps flashing on won't go in reverse either

I don't hear anything but I was driving and out the blue while in drive the light next to neutral started flashing and it want go in drive or reverse what's going on with my car

What makes this problem better or worse?

Don't know neither one hot or cold doesn't matter
