Fair labor charge for "remove engine and take apart to see problem"?

Hopefully they didn't pull the engine to repair. An oil pressure test should've been done, then if the pump was an issue (common problem) the oil pump can easily be done in vehicle for less then $1,000 with parts and labor. You have no repairs listed that include a need to pull the motor. Ask for a better breakdown of cost and get some research done.
