The key fob is stuck and won't release.

Hello, This is either a bad ignition switch module, key, or (if an automatic) the shift interlock system. Try jiggling the gear selector, jiggling the steering wheel back and forth, and once removed, inspect the key. There is a little ring around the key that sometimes needs to be replaced because it can cause the key to jam. That being said, press the key in gently then firmly and so on. A certain amount of pressure may allow the key to come free.
