The same symbol on a Jaguar indicates that you have engaged the traction control. If it is illuminated all the time it may be the Tire Pressure Monitoring light. Check your tire pressures set to pressures on the door decal and drive the car for 20 minutes see if the light goes out.
It could be the tire PSI, or the traction control if it is the traction control you will need to have that systems diagnose your dealer can do this or a qualified shop
I believe the light you asre talking about is the brake pad sensor light. My tire sensor light is an exclamation point....so unless your model is somewhat differet, this is what I'm sticking with =)
I own a 2006 MINI Cooper S JCW GP. According to the Owners Manual that I have, if the light you're talking about is YELLOW in Color, is round, and looks to have an Exlimantion Point ( ! ) , <--- like that then it is your Flat Tire Monitor System. This could mean that you have low tire pressure, a flat tire (you'll hear an acoustic signal sound if you have a flat tire), or it could also mean that one of The TPMS (tire pressure monitor systems) located in each of the tires, has gone bad. Please Note: If your Tire Pressure is low, after you add some air to the tire or tires that's low, you will have to follow these steps..1) Start the Engine BUT do NOT start Driving....2) Press the button located near the E-Brake (looks like the light described above) then release the button....3) Drive Off. The Low Tire Pressure Light should turn off. If it doesn't, take it to a dealer.
