How do I reset the Drive Cycle for my 1999 Mercury Villager to pass emissions?

Hello, If the technician said to drive it 25 miles for a reset, hopefully they referenced the reset conditions for the trouble codes that were set. The OBD trouble codes each have their individual requirements to be stored, and their own individual requirements to clear themselves. A drive cycle is starting the engine, driving, then turning off the engine. Resetting diagnostic codes may take 5 drive cycles, 20 drive cycles, or may not be related to drive cycles.
