Crise control quit abruptly. Fuses and circuit breakers. What have I forgotte

On the brake pedal there are two switches. On is to deactivate the cruisce control when the brakes are tapped the other is for the brake lights. I used a plastic body fastener (bought at O'Reilly Auto) to replace the missing plug. I at first found pieces of plastic in the floor board and wondered where it came from. It wasn't until my brake lights quit working that I figured it out.
