went home on lunch break. went to leave to go back to work, no power. key turns, no lights or noises made. just silence. tried screwing with the battery wires. I got nothing

Hello! On your way home the battery may have drained. If you're getting absolutely no power to any accessories(no radio, headlights, no clicking of the starter) it could just be a dead battery. However, you'll want to have a charging system test performed. A failing alternator could have been the cause, if not a short or fuse issue elsewhere in the vehicle.
