Why wont my car accelerate?

Do you have a check engine light on? If so, get a free read at an Autozone and post result on here. Does the vehicle go forward when you push the gas or is the trans. not engaging?

No the check engine light is not on. It's engaging, it will only go about 5 miles per hour. The guy I bought the car from said it was the throttle sensor so we replaced it but it didn't help.
