Climate control consistently blows hot air, no matter what the temp. setting. The blend door has no physical restriction & the module to actuate the blend door scans OK. Any further ideas as to what is causing this problem?? My local mechanic is stumped by this.

This could be caused by the temperature control switch, the switch relay, or the a/c system low/out of freon- (did he check the a/c system to make sure it was working??).
the blend door motor cannot be scanned. you can remove it and manually move the door or watch the motor shift positions. is your ac compressor coming on line?? did he check the pressures?? Roy
I don't remember what the pressures were, but he told me that the blend door was not allowing any cold air through to the interior of the car. Is this possible if the compressor is working properly & the system fully charged with refrigerant ?? This thing blows max hot no matter what the temp. setting is on the climate control display.
it is possible if the blend door motor is bad and not moving from full heat. i am concerned about the integrity of the ac system. first, get the blend door motor verifed that it is functioning. you can remove it and manually place the door closed to see if you have cold air. if you do, then replace the blend door motor which is a common failure. if no cold air, then we are back to the ac system not performing. Thanks, where is this motor located in the car & what would be the approx. cost of replacement?
center of dash acessible from underneath the dash and by removing the glove box door. pays 1.5 hours and the motor is about 89. it may be easier to remove the radio to gain acess. Roy
AC fully charged & line temp. sensors reading max. cold when tested.
