Two days ago I noticed a rattle from my car so I took it to my mechanic. Today he told me that I would need a new ac compressor. My question, since I don't really care about the ac is, is there a way to bypass the compressor? He told me the belt was rubbing but if I get a shorter belt to go around it would that be a bigger problem for my car in the future?
