car sputters on and off when a/c or heater running

It could be the altenator is not charging to the proper rate so when putting a load on the system it causes voltage needed to operate the Engine control module is not enough causing engine miss.Check all battery cables negative and positive at both ends,if all checks out have altenator load tested,hope this helps
