Windshield wipers come on by themselves

Did you find a solution to this? We are experiencing the same problem.

Same here, I have the same problem where they'll suddenly come "on" un-commanded for 1 or 2 sweeps???

I know..this is a strange problem. There is a wiper switch module which has probably gone bad on your system. Common problem on the '99 Merc. Sable.

I have found that when your car is out or almost out of the windshield wiper fluid it will do this. What I have done is just add some more and it will stop doing it until it needs it again.

I have same problem, does anyone know how much it is to replace multi functon switch?
