What is your question?
The fan runs and I know about how much it would cost to have freon (or whatever) installed. but, I get the feling that the compressor may be gone. I think that could cost almost as much as the car is worth. what do you aces think?

It is hard to say because I have not seen or driven the car. The car is worth more than it would cost to replace the compressor, but the question is: IS THE CAR WORTH THE INVESTMENT. If you are looking to buy a new car anyway, I would suggest selling the car and put the money into the new one. If you are not looking to buy a new car and this car is in decent working condition, I would suggest buying the new compressor if you cannot live without the a/c.. GOOD LUCK!!
You should check and see if your AC sensor has failed. Mine failed at 93,000 miles. My system was fully charged with freon and the fan would blow but it was all hot air. Cost me $75! If you love your car and need your AC...then get her fixed! Beats buying a new $20,000-$40,000 new car!! :)
