What is your question?
Please include all details and any tips, would be greatly appreciated. They got down to the 3 bolts behind the wheel, but couldn't reach, it seems like the axel has to come off first? Is this a job that can be done in the driveway?

http://bit.ly/AllData_Repair_Manuals_Online http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online Your best choice is to consult one of the two links I posted and to acquire your own access to either ALLDATA or Mitchell One repair manuals. In there you will find everything you want to know. This forum is not really intended to direct folks on how to carry out step by step repair procedures. If you have a pointed question about a specific problem or repair process, we can help. What I think you are looking to know is basically that the axle does not have to come out of the transmission, but of course must be separated from the hub. You will need some press tools on site to do this procedure. Can you do this in your driveway? Sure, provided you have the right tools to get it done. Good luck!
I really appreciate your response. The information you gave was just what we needed. We don't have all the right tools to do this job so I think we will rely on our mechanic. You have been very helpful and again I thank You. Zinnia
