Gear Shift Problem

Thanks Roy for your quick reply. The engine does rev up just fine in parkl. In neutral the rev appears to be the same as in park. It seems to have some difficutly shifting to park. Shifting to drive, and down to 2, and 1 works with ease. However in neutral the car move backwards. When shifting to drive sometimes the car goes slowley forward and sometime in drive it goes slowly backwards. The handle moves easily to any selection but the car does not respond properly in any other selection outside of park.

the fact that it tries to move in reverse tells me that the rear clutch is applied at the wrong time. it is an internal issue and the trans will have to be removed and more than likely re built. sorry Roy

Thank you so much Roy. I'm informed, will head for the repair shop to hear what they say. But at least I am informed and can converse intelligently. i'm returning to the repair shop that did some extensive work on my car already. This work included the trans and any and everything else they said was wrong @@%%%??? That's how I feel at this time, since they also forgot to put oil in my car.
