I agree with both answers. In this day and age consider a used unit. If it is a reputable salvage yard you might be able to get a used unit with low mileage cheaper than a rebuilt or reman. I just got a 5 speed manual trans for a 2005 Focus for $400 my cost. I check the vin number on carfax.com and the car had only 66,000 miles on it. Saved the customer a bunch of money.
